Bedtime -or- I Literally Can't Wait to Learn Guitar

It's past my bedtime.

Quiet.

The lights are dim and the delicate notes from a finger-picked guitar are resonating through my earbuds; they mesh well with the soft lighting of this living room. I need times like this, times to reflect, times to simply be.

This evening, I had the privilege of attending the hooding of some of our dearly loved MATs. It was a familiar sight, as I had been in the same position a year ago today in the over-sized gown and the strangely geometric cap. I had to literally bend my knees to allow Dr. Mueller and Dr. Carnes to place the hood I had earned over my head. Seeing this new group gave me a chance to reflect, something which I always am eager to do.

My life has been one massive, wonderful journey of discovery and . Questions and answers. Tears of joy and tears of "I will never do that again". Confusion and epiphanies.

I consider myself a significantly blessed person.

I'm glad that you guys have been a part of my journey.

Beautiful music makes me think of you guys.
