My Saturday

What I did this week. I had a track meet. But it was canceled for the rain. So we left. I went to work with my dad. And we went to Monkey Joes in Charlotte. That makes 2 Monkey Joes 2 weeks in a row. He doesn't work at Monkey Joes. I watched an adventure show called Stuart Little. Then I saw SpongeBob best stand. I had a good day.

My Weekend

I had a very good day on Saturday. I went to my brothers party and saw 2 of my old friends. And I saw my old friend Maurice. There were 23 kids at the party, 13 boys and 10 girls. The fraction is 10/23 for the girls and 13/23 for the boys.

Two lifes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As are life's get better and better this has been the best of them all!
By Emilie and Stella
Today, it happens! This is going to be crazy.
Prepare yourself for the most futuristic thing ever! so whether you have a heart for 2 sweet girls,
this is where we left off:
"Emilie, Stella hurry your ride is here all ready theirs people calling your name's in carpool!
"okay, okay."
"you got everything?"
"om yea i think so." replied Emilie.
So while they strutted down the wooden floor they noticed something very peculiar, it was Stella that saw it first through her peripheral vision. (corner of her eye).
We went to bi-lo and Mrs. Walters was getting some lunchabels while Stella's
papa. So we went to his car. we went in his boat and when we were in there Stella saw a beetle on my back with peripheral vision.

what i've learned throuout the year

what I've learned throughout the year, has been interesting. I have gotten so many ideas throughout
the year... i just have to confess.... so far... 2nd grade has been my faivoirate year of my life.
my wonderful teacher Mr. Foote has encouraged and believed in me, throughout the year.

I've learned so much through my friends, and Mr. Foote. Courageously through good or bad
I've continuously moved forward thru my 2nd grade year. the whole class is basically to me, one big best friend. i feel comfortable in my class, as it's me in my home, were I'm inside with my shoes off. ( not that we do that).

whenever i do a good deed, or tie somebody's shoestrings i always get a "thanks Stella" or " thanks
dude." I'm always appreciated no madder what i do and it makes me feel comfortable and good.
whenever i get hurt, or scrape my knee, i always have somebody to give me a hug. Or run to mr. foote and say stella's hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it always makes me feel good that somebody's looking after me.

it's a great feeling that seems to come from friendship and the heart.

my class has created an atmosphere that i and the class is comfortable around in.

And nobody feels like the victim.

The Day I Saw a Armadillo

One day me and my family were coming home from a trip but we stopped at a beach. At the entrance we saw a little crab (not a hermit crab a crab). We were walking down the bridge when we saw a ARMADILLO!

The Bakery

My friends and I have a bakery. We sell food. In the bakery we have lots of stuff. We have the bakery at resess. We had waffles, candy, and crackers. Lots of people ate at the bakery. Everything was free this week. Next week we will sell the food. We are rasing money for homeless people. The name of the bakery is Sweet and Sour Fountain. Come any time at resess for the bakery.

"Makin' quotes"

My amazing teacher has lately been reading thees interesting quotes that are sometimes from the heart, or is just slapped together. Anyway, that's not my point. what happened to me on Thursday April15, 2010 was excellent. Those quotes were very simplified to me. Those made me think long and hard about them. I loved them so much, i wanted to show it. So, Wednesday i went to my room and i for about 20 minutes i thought so much about how to show i loved those quotes so much. Th-
en suddenly it just came to me! i will make my own quotes! i did exactly 4 quotes. my most desired and touching, whoa! OK that's way to dramatic. What i meant to say was: my fav quote was:
physical words can hurt somebody without moving a single mussel. then i came to class, and bata bang bata boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Foote showed it to the class!!! and, he asked them to Write them down, and asked them questions like this: what does it mean?how does it apply to our
community?

Most Senserly,

Stella

P.S. it was a wonderful idea Mr. Foote , to come up with a class blog!

What i have learned from Mr.Foote

I have learned a lot from my teacherMr.Foote. The best nice teacher that I met. I love the new things that you have taught us for a long time. I had a little problem with fractions and he would help me until I got the hang of it and start helping others in the classroom that have a little trouble. I had never done division until he showed us how and let us practice first then do it. Mr. Foote is nice, kind, and helpful to others and me. I have learned a lot from Mr.F-o-o-t-e. I love you.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs were the only warm blooded reptiles. Some dinosaurs were nocturnal. The velociraptor was nocturnal. The biggest dinosaur egg was as big as a watermelon! Paleontologists are people who find the remains of the "terrible lizards." The word dinosaur means terrible lizard. Once a dinosaur dies, it turns into a skeleton then sand covers the skeleton. Meanwhile the sand becomes buried too. The skeleton turns to rock, then you have a fossilized dinosaur. Dinosaur footprints can become fossils. Dinosaurs have two cousins: one--sea dinosaurs and two--birds. Some dinosaurs are alive still--the birds. The birds took cover when the dinosaurs died.

The Jellyfish Disaster

The day it happened...
Flashback... "Daddy, something stung me."
"Are you sure something didn't just scrape against you?"
"No".
As he picks me up the attack gets more, and more frustrating every second this happened. My dad, he got stung too. The suprising part was Nick, my brother, two feet away, not a single spot on him! Infected, it got infected. Itchy, puffy, and red.
What a disaster!!!

The Creation of a Class Blog -or- I Saw a Beaver Today

My wife and I are hosting a privileged guest in our home this week: my 14-year-old brother-in-law, Garrett. Fun kid.

Rewind two days.

After an overbearing winter and the promise of warmer temperatures to complement our Spring Break festivities, Tori and I marched in celebration toward our thermostat. The same thermostat that mocked us for the past three months ("You say you want it to be 77?! HA HA HA!!!"), the same thermostat responsible for our reluctant "one eye open, one eye closed" opening of SCE & G utility bills was due for a change. And as we joyfully moved the lever from "heat" to "cool", leaned our heads back, and closed our eyes in divine bliss, we realized something. NOTHING WAS HAPPENING! This could not be! And during "record-setting high temperatures for this time of year" (www.wistv.com)?? This was just plain...devious!

Back to the present day.

You can only distract yourself from the muggy atmosphere caused by a stubborn A/C unit by playing Wii golf for so long. Sooner or later, those 18 holes that seemed like they'd last forever will come to an end and you'll be back at square one, sweating on your couch, looking at your brother-in-law, wondering what to do. After a while, we came to the conclusion that it seemed warmer inside because our expectations for the temperature were different (kind of like that time I got super excited to see Batman and Robin at the movie theater, only to be incredibly disappointed when it finally ended). On the flip side, if we went outdoors, we would expect it to be hot...therefore, it would feel cooler (I know, I know...completely irrational).

So, Garrett and I grabbed Tori and ventured to the Saluda River rapids to dangle our feet into the cold water coming from the bottom of Lake Murray. But, as we arrived, we saw that every rock was occupied by college students. Apparently, all their A/C units failed them too...

So, we kept walking along and found an overgrown trail. Just the challenge we needed. As we tread over dead leaves, life began to get more and more peaceful. The noise, much like the rapids, calmed and we were able to explore our surroundings. And then...

"BEAVER!!!" Tori exclaimed by the water's edge.

We rushed over to her side to see a small beaver swimming away from her lovely, but high-pitched voice. It was a truly beautiful sight. In the middle of a bustling city with highways and high-rises, not sixty yards from College Land, a beaver found the space it needed to build its home.

And I thought...

"I can't wait to tell my kids about this tomorrow! Wait...I'm sleeping in tomorrow."

This would not do. Therefore, class blog.

Here's to seeing the world for what it is, a constant inspiration, an ongoing conversation. Be inspired this Spring Break, guys.
